Well today April 22nd- the day I am posting this Hannah is 8 months old- So I am a little behind- I really can not believe that she is 8 months old already- All sorts of new and exciting things- When she wants her mommy- she mom mom mom's - usually followed by a ba ba ba-- mom mom mom- ba ba ba--- go figure- :) Jan for some reason is not Da da da - he is pa pa pa - we say da da da to her- to this point Hannah has not said da da da- I equate it to all the Mexican food I ate and Jan says it is she "Dutch Roots"- Dad is "Pa" there- We are both saying da da da to her- we do not want pa to stick- time will tell- Hannah is loving food- rice- mashed potatoes- carrots- applesauce- oatmeal- Still no teeth- I would say any day now with the amount of teething she has been doing (poor kid)-

Sitting up all by herself- this is ACTUALLY the first time- camera was handy and she was not falling she sat there for many minutes... and has been hooked ever since- When I see her sitting- I am amazed at how big she is getting

Hannah has also been sampling some of her first "big girl" foods applesauce is a MAJOR winner- bananas did not go over well

Also, beware what is in reaching distance- because it will undergo a special examination- which could include- rigorous shaking- violent bashing against anything, this also includes a taste testing- and a bit of gnawing- at the end of the experiment you will be ejected- hopefully the fall is not to far and the landing is soft-
I am happy she is a curious child-

Not many adventures today- Hannah is asleep. I worked on both of my puzzles- Hannah watched her video and we sang songs- and talked about all the "stuff" in our home.

First time in the high chair- little did she know- what was about to happen...

Hannah did not enjoy the first big girl food- Mommy cried- seeing Hannah in the high chair and feeding her with a spoon- Phoebe did not like it but Roxi came to Hannah's rescue and finished it for her- It is really fun to watch her accomplishments- becoming more dexterous- her laugh- and BIG smiles when she sees us- she is becoming a little more independent - she does not cry when she first wakes up - she plays and coos- and has all sorts of fun entertaining herself- This mommy stuff gets better by the day !!!!!
